How to solve the problem of the control valve getting stuck or blocked?

The control valve is an important component of the industrial automation control system and is widely used in various industrial process controls. However, when the control valve is stuck or blocked, it will affect the normal operation of the control system and even cause equipment damage. Therefore, understanding the causes and treatment methods of the control valve getting stuck or blocked is of great significance to ensure the safety of industrial production.
Causes of the control valve getting stuck or blocked
1. Impurity blockage
During the operation of the control valve, the control valve may be affected by various impurities, such as dust, particulate matter, etc. These impurities may enter the valve core through the throttle port of the control valve, causing the valve core to get stuck or blocked.
2. Medium crystallization
Some media may crystallize when the temperature drops, and the crystals may block the throttle port of the control valve, causing the control valve to fail to work properly.
3. Mechanical failure
The mechanical part of the control valve may fail due to wear, looseness, etc., causing the control valve to get stuck or blocked.
Treatment method
1. Cleaning method
For the control valve stuck or blocked caused by impurity blockage, the cleaning method can be used for treatment. First, close the inlet and outlet valves of the regulating valve, and then use a cleaning agent to clean the regulating valve. After cleaning, rinse with clean water, and finally open the inlet and outlet valves to restore the regulating valve to normal operation.
2. Knocking method
For the stuck or blocked regulating valve caused by mechanical failure, the knocking method can be used to deal with it. First, close the inlet and outlet valves of the regulating valve, and then use a knocking tool to knock on the mechanical part of the regulating valve. After knocking, rinse with clean water, and finally open the inlet and outlet valves to restore the regulating valve to normal operation.
3. Replacement method
For the stuck or blocked regulating valve caused by medium crystallization, the replacement method can be used to deal with it. First, close the inlet and outlet valves of the regulating valve, and then remove the throttle part of the regulating valve and replace it with a new throttle part. After replacement, rinse with clean water, and finally open the inlet and outlet valves to restore the regulating valve to normal operation.
Preventive measures
1. Regular inspection
Check the regulating valve regularly to find and deal with potential problems in time.
2. Keep clean
Keep the regulating valve and its surrounding environment clean to prevent impurities from entering the regulating valve.
3. Reasonable selection
Choose the appropriate control valve type and specification according to the actual working conditions to avoid the control valve getting stuck or blocked due to improper selection.
4. Regular maintenance
Perform regular maintenance on the control valve to ensure its normal operation.
