The high temperature ball valve is a metal sealing structure, the sealing form is metal-to-metal sealing, the metal sealing ring can be exchanged for metal sealing, and the stainless steel plate and graphite composite plate sealing ring is sealed to metal. In addition to electric, the driving forms of hard-sealed butterfly valves include manual, worm gear drive, pneumatic, etc. The disc of the high temperature ball valve is installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. In the cylindrical channel of the hard-sealed ball valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, and the rotation angle is between 0° and 90°. When it rotates to 90°, the valve is fully open. The high temperature ball valve above 250° is called a high temperature ball valve, and the sealing surface material of the high temperature ball valve below 250° is usually made of PPL material. Hard sealing material is used for temperatures above 250°.
How to choose a high temperature ball valve for different temperatures
High temperature ball valve below 250°
High temperature ball valves below 250 degrees are generally used for ordinary hot water, heating water, steam systems, oil products, food, etc., and can be used when the working temperature is not higher than 250 degrees.
High temperature ball valve above 250°
For high-temperature ball valves above 250°, a hard-sealed material should be selected. The WCB degree of the hard-sealed high-temperature ball valve body can withstand 425°, and the hardness coefficient is HRC45-58. The structure of the hard-sealed high-temperature ball valve is designed as a double-seat single-side sealed hard-sealed high-temperature ball valve. The valve body material is cast steel (WCB), the ball is 2CR13+nitriding (2CR13+STL), and the sealing material is STL carbide. The factory adopts a single-sided sealing structure: one wall is sealed with graphite, and the other wall is sealed with a spring to push the valve seat and the ball to the opposite side. This design makes the valve light in opening and closing force, and has good sealing performance. So the benefits of this product are: wear resistance, high temperature resistance, light switch and long service life.
High temperature ball valve above 425°
The hard-sealed high-temperature ball valve above 425° is a kind of ultra-high temperature, and the material should be WC6. Special wear-resistant hard-sealed high-temperature ball valve. The highest temperature can be up to 590°, the valve seat on both sides of the valve adopts the elastic force of the spring to make the valve seat on both sides tightly hug the ball center to play a sealing role. The sealing material is tungsten carbide, and the spherical surface is spray welded. Such a hardness coefficient can reach HRC68-72. The valve seat and the valve body are sealed with graphite, so the temperature can withstand up to 590°. The advantages of hard sealing high temperature ball valves are: good sealing performance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, easy opening and closing, high temperature hard The sealing feature of the sealed ball valve is the use of metal sealing pairs. The disadvantage is that the hardness of the material is high, and the specific pressure necessary to achieve the seal is high. Even if the pre-tightening force is used to achieve the seal, the wear between the valve seat and the ball is also large due to the large specific pressure of the seal, and because of the friction coefficient of the metal sealing surface. Larger, resulting in a larger opening and closing torque of the ball valve. Therefore, most of the high-temperature ball valves use elastic sealing pairs, which have reliable performance, strong elastic compensation ability, and a wide range of applicable temperatures, and are suitable for both floating ball valves and fixed ball valves.
There is another saying that when the pipeline medium exceeds 280 ℃, a hard-sealed ball valve must be used, and it can also work under high temperature conditions.
