Aluminum bronze threaded gate valves are used as replacement for many Monel, duplex and super duplex grade valves. These are used mostly in sea water, salt water, brackish water and highly corrosive applications. The valves are cheaper compared to the other higher alloys. Larger diameter valves are available in different aluminum bronze grades. Aluminum bronze threaded gate valves use a gate to operate the valve. The gate opens or closes the valve and is connected to the valve stem. The valve stem is fitted with a handle which moves the stem in up or down and the gate opens and closes the valve.
ADVANTAGES:
Aluminum bronze is the highest strength standard copper based alloy. Produces C95400, C95500 and C95900 in standard sizes of rounds, tubes, and rectangles. Aluminum in conjunction with iron and nickel in Aluminum bronze threaded gate valve acts as a strengthener in these alloys. All of the aluminum bronzes can be heat treated, further increasing tensile strengths.
